MARTIN STREL
Between 2001 and 2007 we represented the outstanding extreme swimmer Martin Strel who, owing to his strong will and exceptional effort, managed to swim the length of three of the longest rivers in the world: the Mississippi in the USA, the Yangtze in China, and the Paraná in South America. As his agents, we were in charge of arranging, organizing, and monitoring these extremely difficult feats that have set new standards in the world of extreme swimming.
Our collaboration with Martin did not only entail the organization of extreme swimming feats – we also helped him create two inspiring books that document his remarkable achievements and life journey. In 2003 Laureus recognized his extraordinariness by nominating him for the prestigious sports award in the category Alternative Sportsperson of the Year. Martin Strel’s swimming achievements have been entered in the Guinness Book of Records four times, which testifies to the unrivalled spirit and perseverance of this extraordinary athlete.
