FRANJA MARATHON – CYCLING FESTIVAL
In 2005 the company SI SPORT entered into partnership with the cycling club Kolesarsko društvo Rog, upgrading the content of the Franja Marathon, which has become the cycling holiday we know today thanks to Tone Fornezzi Tof, Zvone Zanoškar and Ivan Winkler. The finish line of all routes was moved from the area of the Police Academy in Tacen to the BTC area in Ljubljana, where a start and finish area was set up for all cycling routes – in addition to the Franja Marathon, also for the Little Franja Marathon, the Family Marathon, competitions for children, and in the first two years also for two routes for mountain bikers.
